Be Your Own Rock Star

I love the word ROCK!

My favorite song to sing on stage has always been “I Love ROCK n Roll” by Joan Jett.
My world has been filled with lots of rock events as well.

I left my teaching job to start a ROCK band about 13 years ago. My band is called Famous Fish and we still gig very occasionally but only for people we like now and definitely not after midnight haha!

I had a music school called school of ROCK which had about 50 kids a week who came and learnt music in our home.

Then I started my preschool music business called kindyROCK about 9 years ago.

I have recently launched ROCK the planet which is an online music program that  kids, parents and teachers all around that world can use to grow kids that Rock the planet!!

Finally I am just presenting some workshops called…hmmmm you guessed it ROCK Your Soul.

Whew what a lot of Rocks!

So what is about rocks that I love so much:

  1. They are all shapes and sizes some tiny pebbles, some huge boulders.
  2. They are all kinds of colours and textures some red, blue, grey, white, some smooth and some jagged and rough.
  3. They can be used to do heaps of different things, play games, build roads, make fences and houses, even arty stuff like sculptures and mosaics.
  4. There have been some really famous rocks around the world- think Stone Henge,  Ayers Rock in Australia, plus our own weird looking egg rocks in New Zealand we called the Moeraki Boulders.
  5. Some rocks are of course tiny and expensive!
  6. Finally I just like rocks cos they are strong but kind of fun.

So you say, why is that Judi chick raving on a bit about rocks? I know, I know!

But what I am trying to say is that we are all different.

Some of us like to be massive.
Some like to be on stage.
Some like to be really famous.
Some like to be really different.
Some like to leave their mark on the world.
Some of us like to be small and precious.
Some are white, or grey or pink or green and
Some of us like to build stuff, or make stuff be and be arty.

But all of us in our own right are still rocks which in my view means that you are all stars so go out into the world today and be your own ROCK star!

Be who you want to be, be what makes you shine and be happy being you!!!

Now I did say that I am running AMAZING new workshops called ROCK Your Soul because I want you all to be Rock Stars in your own way and I really, really, really, really, believe that music can make a difference to our lives.
